BM = 2 см, MC = 6 см.

BC = BM + MC = 2 + 6 = 8 (см).

△ABM — прямокутний, рівнобедрений, бо ∠BAM = 45°, тоді ∠BMA = 45°.

Отже, AB = BM = 2 см.

S = AB · BC = 2 · 8 = 16 (см²).

Відповідь: 16 см².
